LeBron James Will Become The All-Time Scorer

Tonight's home game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Los Angeles Lakers at the Crypt presents LeBron James with the opportunity to surpass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the NBA's all-time leading scorer.

As of today, James needs 36 points to break Abdul-Jabbar's 38,387 point career record. Even Kareem has plans to go to the game Tuesday night.

Fans of basketball and sports in general have been fascinated by James' march toward history. The last time someone broke an NBA record of this magnitude was in December of 2021 where Stephen Curry, Point Guard for Golden State Warriors, became the all-time leader in three-pointers made.

This all coming in light of the recent Lakers failure to acquire Kyrie Irving of the Nets by the trade deadline. Perhaps LeBron breaking the record will ease the spirits of Laker Nation.

Since LeBron is predicted to break the NBA's all-time scoring record this week, those who want to watch him make sports history in person will have to shell out a lot of cash.

Most lower-level seats will be priced slightly above $1,000 a ticket, while some floor seats may even run anywhere into the thousands to tens of thousands.

If James doesn't break the milestone on Tuesday, he will have another chance when the Lakers host the Milwaukee Bucks on February 9. The cost of such tickets rose by 447% going from $474 in October to $2,595 on Tuesday.

Despite the cost of the tickets, fans all over the world can enjoy the game on national television as it is set in the second slot of tonight's TNT doubleheader.
