English Premier League club Chelsea F.C. have had all their assets frozen by the U.K. Goverment, as billionare owner Roman Abramovic, is a Russian Oligarch that is currently profiting from the invasion in Ukraine. He has been ordered to sell the club effective immediately.

Chelsea who currently sit in 3rd place in the league table, and won the Champions League last season, have now had all transactions cancel for the foreseeable future. These sanctions include that cannot buy or sell any players, they cant resign current players to extend contracts, and now they will not be allowed to sell any tickets to thier fans for home or away games (only season ticket holders will be able to attend games).

This is a huge blow for Chelsea as 3 key players Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christesnen and Cesar Azpilicueta are all out of contract at the end of the season. There are able to profit from any way due to the sanctions placed on Abramovic, they arent even allowed to sell any club merchandise.

This is something like we have never seen ever in the world of sports, the U.K. has banned any money from coming in or out of the club completely. This is very big problem for the club as they still have massive wage bills for players, staff and transportation for the remaining games the remainder of the season. It remains to be
