More than 42 million people are under winter storm watch as heavy snow and strong winds are expected to slam some of the metro areas in the Northeast this weekend.
The National Weather Service in Boston warns that 12 to 24 inches of snow could begin falling late Friday through Saturday.
The storm is expected to form in The Atlantic Ocean on Friday. Predictions show it will rapidly strengthen overnight and continue its path along the East Coast.
