When it comes to Halloween in South Florida, we're all about partying the week away! Leading up to the 31st, a series of costume parties, spooky-themed restaurants, and zombie bar crawls are held, but which events are worth attending? Here are the top 5 events you must attend this Halloween weekend.
1. Fright Nights at the South Florida Fairgrounds
If you find yourselves in the West Palm Beach area then Fright Nights at the South Florida Fairgrounds is a must see. They’ve been around for over 18 years and truly, “care about the scare.” What makes this place so unique is the experience the actors create for guests and their dedication to really scare the living pants of them! Fright Nights offers multiple haunted houses, “scare zones,” midway rides, food vendors, games, street performers and live entertainment for just around $30 until November 2nd.
This year they have a post apocalyptic and a creepy carnival theme for each scare zone respectively. If the whole flesh-eating zombies popping out from behind you, or creepy clown with a chainsaw chasing you sounds scary then make sure to check out the scare zones. Now as for the haunted houses, zombie fans will love Sunny Shores Hotel. Horror film critics can check out Dead Time Stories and El Orfanato. The Cuckoo’s Nest is back again this year and with creepier, scarier clowns. If you want a good scare, this scream park is the gold-standard for thrilling haunted house attractions. 2. HalloWYN in Wynwood
Wynwood’s OFFICIAL Halloween party presented by Fireball Whiskey & Modelo, and in partnership with SWARM, is here and it’s FREE! They will host their annual costume contest where $100 bar tab goes to second place and $100 cash for first place. This year, bartenders will be serving flaming Fireball Whiskey cocktails throughout the night to those who RSVP here.
Expect tons of party goers attending this block party because Wynwood is a well-known hot spot in Miami for art galleries, food, music, and culture. There will be over 20 food trucks to choose from for when the munchies kick-in. The Dragon's Den will showcase cage dancers, fire spinners, live body art, and the venue decorated in eye-catching LED activation's and photo-booths. Vendors will be on-site selling some nifty pickups for the night as well, and live-music by DJ Erwin & DJ Ariel Assault, and MC Ray Costa. Not bad for a free event, just don't forget to RSVP for that cocktail!
